Credits are the fuel for Crate's messaging — every SMS, email, and WhatsApp campaign draws from your balance. Topping up takes a moment, and Crate makes the maths obvious so you're never guessing what a send will cost.
What credits cost per channel

So a 500-person SMS blast is 500 credits, while the same audience over email is 2,000. The campaign composer shows the exact total for any send before you commit, so you can size your top-up to match.
Choosing a bundle
Top-up bundles range from a small starter pack up to bulk volume. The bigger the bundle, the more credits you get per naira — if you send regularly, a larger bundle is the better value. There's no expiry to worry about: credits sit in your balance until you use them.
Tip: You can reach this page two ways — Marketing → Buy credits from the sidebar, or the Buy credits link inside the campaign composer whenever your balance runs low mid-send.
After you top up
Once a purchase completes, the new credits appear in your balance and you can send straight away. Keep an eye on the Credits card in the composer as you build a campaign — it always reflects your live balance and the cost of the send in front of you.

Open Messaging credits
From the dashboard, go to Marketing → Buy credits, or click Buy credits from anywhere in the campaign composer. This opens your credits page.

Check your balance
The card at the top shows your current balance and the per-send cost for each channel — SMS 1 credit, Email 4 credits, and WhatsApp 1 credit. That's everything you need to estimate what an upcoming campaign will cost.

Choose a top-up bundle
Under Top up, Crate offers bundles at different price points — from a small starter pack up to bulk volume. Larger bundles give you more credits per naira, so pick the one that matches how often you send.

Buy the bundle
Click Buy on your chosen bundle to start the purchase. Once the credits land in your balance, you can immediately send SMS, email, and WhatsApp campaigns.
