How does the Crate affiliate programme work?
Crate pays a commission to people who refer a business that then subscribes to a Crate plan. A Crate affiliate gets a tracked referral link, and a business signing up through that link is attributed to the affiliate automatically rather than claimed by hand. Commission is paid on the plan the referred business subscribes to, in the currency that merchant is billed in, USD in the United States and NGN in Nigeria. Crate publishes no commission rate and no payout schedule on this page, because both are confirmed with an affiliate on approval and Crate does not quote a figure it has not set. Applications are made on this page and answered by email.

How much can I earn?
You earn 25% of every subscription payment your referrals make. There is no cap. Refer 10 businesses on the Starter plan and you earn a quarter of all ten subscriptions, every month, for as long as they stay. The exact figure follows the plan prices on the pricing page, in your own currency.
When do I get paid?
Commissions are paid on a Net-30 basis. After a referral payment is confirmed, the commission is held for 30 days (to account for any refunds), then paid out in the next payout cycle via bank transfer.
How long does the cookie last?
Your referral link sets a 30-day cookie. If someone clicks your link and signs up within 30 days, you get the commission, even if they did not sign up on the first visit.
Can I refer existing users?
No. The affiliate program is for new sign-ups only. Existing Crate merchants or users who already have an account do not count as referrals.
Is there a minimum payout?
The minimum payout is $50. If your earned commissions are below this threshold in a given cycle, they roll over to the next cycle until the minimum is reached.
